چکیده
We investigated spin–orbit torque (SOT) induced magnetization switching and SOT efficiency for Mn1.8Ga1.0 (MnGa) single layers MnGa/Co2MnSi (CMS) bilayers. Magnetization measurements showed that ultrathin MnGa CMS were antiferromagnetically coupled to each other with clear perpendicular magnetization. SOT-induced was observed both MnGa/CMS/Ta MnGa/Ta stacks, the current reduced by a half in stack. Examination of acting on domain walls revealed effective magnetic field originating from approximately five times stronger stack than These results indicate MnGa/CMS bilayer structure is enhancing generation.

Magnetization Dynamics Symmetry in Spin Torque Induced Magnetization Switching
Magnetization dynamics symmetry plays important roles in magnetization switching. Here we study magnetic field and spin torque induced magnetization switching. Spin moment transferring from polarized itinerant electrons to local magnetization provides a magnetization switching mechanism without using external magnetic field. Besides its importance in fundamental magnetization switching dynamics...
متن کاملMagnetization switching by spin-orbit torque in an antiferromagnet-ferromagnet bilayer system.
Spin-orbit torque (SOT)-induced magnetization switching shows promise for realizing ultrafast and reliable spintronics devices. Bipolar switching of the perpendicular magnetization by the SOT is achieved under an in-plane magnetic field collinear with an applied current. Typical structures studied so far comprise a nonmagnet/ferromagnet (NM/FM) bilayer, where the spin Hall effect in the NM is r...
متن کاملCurrent-induced magnetization switching using an electrically insulating spin-torque generator
Current-induced magnetization switching through spin-orbit torques is the fundamental building block of spin-orbitronics, which promises high-performance, low-power memory and logic devices. The spin-orbit torques generally arise from spin-orbit coupling of heavy metals. However, even in a heterostructure where a metallic magnet is sandwiched by two different insulators, a nonzero spin-orbit to...
متن کاملFluctuation theorem for a small engine and magnetization switching by spin torque.
We consider a reversal of the magnetic moment of a nanomagnet by a fluctuating spin torque induced by a nonequilibrium current of electron spins. This is an example of the problem of the escape of a particle from a metastable state subjected to a fluctuating nonconservative force. Spin torque is a nonconservative force, and its fluctuations are beyond the description of the fluctuation-dissipat...
